We’d strongly suggest looking at another hotel. A major snowstorm meant highway driving was officially prohibited, so we couldn’t arrive on our booked date. We asked several times to move the reservation by just two days. Staff kept curtly directing us to manager Tracy, who was unavailable even at the times they told us to call. Later, the hotel responded to our review by saying Booking.com’s system wouldn’t allow a date change. That isn’t accurate. We run a hospitality business and work with Booking.com regularly. In force majeure situations like snowstorms or strikes, date changes or refunds are commonly handled without trouble. I spoke personally with several Booking.com representatives, and they all said the hotel never replied to their requests. That matches what we experienced, especially since other hotels have cooperated promptly with Booking.com in similar circumstances. Management seemed willing to respond to a public review, but not to help with our problem. As someone who travels frequently for work, I’ve rarely seen such indifference to customer care, along with so little transparency. The experience was far below reasonable hospitality standards.
