Those campfires were a big part of the fun for our group, and the staff got everything ready at the firepit each night. The Inn at Shady Lawn was clean and comfortable, with a handy spot near Hawksnest for tubing. The restaurant on site served delicious food. Our youth group had 20 people, and we’d happily come back.

I really liked breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The room was quiet and easy to get around in, and there were plenty of shower towels, which you can't always count on. The shower was fully enclosed with a door, too. I slept so well I may have to find out what mattresses they use.

Felton at the front desk was super cool and helped us a lot. The room had a mini fridge and microwave, and it met our needs. The carpet had stains, but the room was clean and didn't smell bad. We'll be back.

The restaurant next door had good food and something for everyone. In the room, we had a mini fridge, TV, closet, nice shower, and comfy beds. If you're breastfeeding, you might want to bring a cooler with ice, though. We came from the Charlotte area for our first mountain stay, and Shady Lawn Inn has us planning another trip already. The woodland themed room was a hit with the kids, and the owner went out of his way for us. When he found out they loved Legos and Harry Potter, he left a surprise in our room that had them so excited. It was Sirius-ly sweet and brought tears to this momma's eyes. I've recommended the Inn to all my family and can't recommend it enough.

Really cute motel, with clean, well-appointed rooms, a spacious bathroom, and a cozy bed. The staff were courteous and amazing, too.
