Fort Eustis Inn

I stayed two nights and would come back. It was okay for the price, and the staff were courteous and nice. I have a service dog, and the front desk helped with everything, even offering to bring my suitcase to the room. My downstairs room was along a walkway, with a nice nearby spot for the dog to pee. That was helpful since I’m handicapped and have a really hard time walking. The room was outdated, and the couch and chair were old, but the sheets, blankets, and floor were clean. The bathroom was small, and the water pressure was good.

My son has serious health conditions, and the rooms we were given were hot, dirty, rusty, and moldy. I asked for a better room but didn’t get one. I requested a refund and was still charged. I couldn’t have my kids stay there.

The manager checked in with me about housekeeping because I work nights and sleep during the usual service hours. The staff were extremely accommodating, and the rooms are very clean. Hot water seems to last for days, and even though it’s an extended stay, they still provided complimentary soap. It has a mom-and-pop hotel feel, and I’d definitely recommend it to someone new in town who’s looking for a permanent place.

We booked our tickets online before seeing the room for a last-minute vacation, so we knew we weren’t getting a 5 Star Hotel on short notice. For the price, it’s about what you’d expect. The room smells, the shower pressure is poor, and room service hasn’t been very adequate. The neighbors above us, who I think are actual tenants, are really loud. For the past two nights I’ve woken up with bug bites all over my legs and ankles. The guy at the front desk was also very rude when we checked in.
