The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were really welcoming, and check-in was easy. We had a girls’ night with my best friend, and the location was convenient without the downtown chaos. Parking was easy, the price felt right, and I loved that there’s no two-night minimum like at most places in Newport. I’m definitely coming back!

The staff were warm and thoughtful, and the front desk was proactive. Parking was easy and free, and the free water was appreciated. This bright, lovely little boutique hotel is only a short drive from everything we wanted to do in Newport. Highly recommend!

We stayed for a week and could easily have stayed longer. Island House has the space and livability of a short-term rental, with the service and quality of a high-end hotel. It’s one of our family’s favorite recent stays. The staff were all professional, friendly, and helpful. The quiet location is hard to beat, with an easy walk to restaurants, shops, wine shops, a grocery store, and Cliff Walk, and parking made coming and going simple. Our suite was bright from the big windows, and the kitchen and living room were wonderful. There was a large dining table with comfortable chairs, so eating in was easy and fun. The kitchen was fully equipped with new utensils and appliances, plus a full-sized refrigerator and what we needed to make most meals. The rooms were large and beautifully furnished, the beds comfortable, and the linens lovely. We also appreciated the small den in one bedroom, along with the great bathrooms, towels, toiletries, and robes. A very special experience for our family.

The service deserves 10 stars. Staff went out of their way for us, and the nicest touch was letting The Moorings know we were celebrating a birthday when they made our reservation. We were greeted with happy birthday wishes and a birthday dessert, which made the celebration special. Island Resort is a clean little gem with coastal charm, within walking distance of Bellevue & Thames. We found the hotel through Boston Channel 5, Chronicle, and highly recommend it.

After a week of blizzard snow, the beach decor in our immaculate room felt so refreshing. We stayed overnight for my daughter’s 16th birthday with her two besties, and the room had been sweetly decorated with balloons and a card when we arrived. Such a lovely touch. We’ll definitely come back for another quick getaway! 🩵
