Newport Motel

I’ve stayed here several times and it’s been a great place to spend the night. It’s quiet, there are good restaurants nearby, and the front desk staff have been very nice and helpful. I’d stay again.

It’s a basic motel, good for a night’s sleep, with comfortable beds and the essentials covered. There’s a refrigerator and microwave, but no pool, despite some online photos showing one. The owners are very good people, and Patrick, the manager, is personable.

I only stayed overnight, but felt right at home and really liked the place. It isn’t luxury, just clean and comfortable. The bed was fine, and the room had a desk, a mini fridge with a separate freezer section, and a microwave. I didn’t speak directly with staff, though the notes they left gave a friendly impression. I felt bad that I never have cash for the cleaning staff. I left a note suggesting management could set up Venmo for guests who don’t carry cash, or offer a slip where we could write in a dollar amount and check “Please charge my credit card on file.”

A small, quiet hotel, and I was very happy with my stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The AC was powerful and kept the room cool, and there was cable TV, a good sized fridge and freezer, and a microwave. I’d bring an extra pillow and blanket next time for more comfort and coziness. Everything was very clean except the floors. I walked barefoot before realizing how dirty they were, and my feet got really grimy. They need a good mop.
