Comfort Inn The Pointe

The rooms were very clean and the hotel was easy to find. We paid $20.00 for parking, even though parking outside for a visit to the falls was free for guests. The desk could have told us, but we couldn’t get the money back afterward. Customer service was a bit wonky, and the desk could be more helpful with information like that.

The location was excellent, with food trucks, restaurants, shops, and a kid-friendly area nearby. It was quiet despite the holiday weekend crowds, the shower had plenty of hot water, and the breakfast buffet was pretty good and stayed stocked. One frustrating moment was arriving at 2:10 with a reservation: when I mentioned it, the staff member just said check-in was at 4 and walked away without checking whether the room was ready. Everything else was fine, and I’d stay here again.

The staff were friendly, and being close to Niagara Falls was convenient. That was about all I liked. Our room was only partly clean and smelled strongly of chlorine, while the hotel badly needs renovation and charges too much for the minimal service. The drain clogged; staff fixed it, but the fix didn’t last long. Our car was scratched in the parking lot, and it looked intentional. I don’t recommend this hotel and won’t stay here again.

I stayed here twice, once in May and once in June 2026, for one night each time, and both visits were very bad. The front desk service was slow and unprofessional. The female staff members and one man were very rude and didn’t know how to respond to guests. During check-in, a different American guest arrived and the woman started helping them, delaying my check-in. It felt like racism from the front desk. Management needs to train the staff, especially the front desk. The location may be an advantage, but that doesn’t make the hotel king; nothing lasts forever, and staff in hospitality need to act professionally. I won’t stay here again.
