For what I needed, this place was good enough, and I expect to come back for more recharge or “mental health” days. It's a DAYS INN, not the Four Seasons or Grand Hotel, and I paid less for three nights than half a day at many nearby places. The smoking room was relatively clean, though obviously not surgical-clean, and there were no bugs or vermin. The shower pressure was excellent, but the temperature swung from polar cold to solar-corona hot without warning. The rooms look like they needed remodeling 65 years ago, which is apparent as soon as you walk in. Most employees were courteous, helpful, and excellent. The exception was an older woman who came in yelling that I had to pay, although I'd paid the night before and planned to stay two more nights. I hadn't known there was a specific payment time. The location is convenient for getting to around 500 restaurants, the mall, and other shopping.

We paid $700 and had a terrible stay. The fridge wasn't plugged in, and once opened it smelled awful and had mold growing inside. There was old food by the beds and TV stands, plus socks left by previous guests, as if room service only cleaned what it could reach. The thermostat dial looked flimsy and broken, with just two options: blazing hot or freezing cold. The bathroom was confusing to use, and one of the cleaning ladies was rude when I asked for something. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here.

The room itself was clean and didn't really smell bad. Still, cigarette smoke gets through the halls even when you're staying in a non-smoking room. Fine for a cheap stop.

We stayed three days because the power was completely out at my house. The Bible we left behind was definitely ours, but when I called to get it back, they insisted we hadn't left it there. Housekeeping could use a refresher on how to clean rooms.

Whenever I tried to nap during the day, staff would start violently banging on the walls the moment I closed my eyes. It felt like they somehow knew I'd dozed off and wanted to stab me in the chest with ice picks. If you're like me, don't stay here!
