The breakfast had plenty of good food, and the place was quiet, pristine, and very clean. The water didn’t get quite hot enough, and they had no plans to fix that because of the cost. There seemed to be a lot of rules, though perhaps they were needed for some people. The bed, bedding, and robes were comfortable, and everything was well maintained. There were two bathrooms for three rooms, but I never had to wait. It felt safe and secure, with a nice reading and game room. Moose and a baby moose, along with cranes, wandered through the yard.

Fred and Terri were friendly hosts and great sources of local information. Whispering Winds was also ideally placed for the excursions I had planned nearby. My room was roomy and comfortable, and the bathroom, kitchenette, and shared spaces suited me just as I’d hoped. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily return.

Fred and Terri were so welcoming, and their local advice, especially the fishing suggestions, was really helpful. Breakfast was delicious, especially the burritos and blueberry pancakes, and the homemade syrups and jams were a lovely touch. The bnb went well beyond what we expected. We’d absolutely stay again if we come back to Alaska.

Fred was a super host and even made sure we had breakfast when we needed to leave earlier than the usual breakfast time. The accommodations were very nice and clean. Highly recommend!

Fred went out of his way to make us comfortable. I stayed one night for work, then brought my family for another night. The bedroom was large and had two beds. There was plenty of shared space, with two big bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, and a living room with books and board games.
