Hampton Inn Norco-Corona-Eastvale

The breakfast was disappointing, so we went to a restaurant instead. There were imitation eggs, what they called bacon, gruel on a muffin, and the usual waffle machine. It’s sad to pay so much and not get a convenient, decent breakfast. We’ve stayed at other hotels in town that were better. We were visiting family, and the grounds were clean, quiet, and felt safe, with no one wandering around or looking sketchy. Since we had a reservation, check-in was quick and fine. The hotel was clean and well kept. Our room was typical, though very dark, with only desk and bedside lights and no ceiling light. The refrigerator had no freezer, even a small one would have helped because we needed one. It was warm, and when I called the desk that night, no one answered. I had to tell them the next day it wasn’t working. Since we stayed only one night, we didn’t bother asking for another.

The staff were really nice and helpful, even with their check-in system down. It’s an older Hilton, I think, but still nice. We really like this location because it’s close to the assembly hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. We’ll be back.

I was disappointed with the service. I checked out on the day of my daughter’s wedding, then realized on Sunday evening that I might have left my smart watch in the room. I was told to call back in the morning. It’s now Monday at 11:00 a.m. I’ve been calling since 9, but all I get is a busy signal. The phone is obviously off the hook, so now I have to drive 40 minutes to check with the hotel. I expect much better from a Hilton. I’m not happy with this hotel at all!

The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good: waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, and juice. The rooms were fine, clean, and nothing special but not bad. The front desk man who checked us in wasn’t friendly or helpful, though he got the job done. I know front desk staff deal with a lot, so it’s a non-issue. It was somewhat noisy, with lots of loud kids who seemed to be on teams. All the hotels nearby are usually full of noisy kids because there are so many sports tournaments in the area. It must be close to a sports complex.
