Karim is a great bartender, always in a good mood, with a good sense of humor. He's just a cool guy, in my opinion. The bar's in a hotel that feels modern and well maintained, and the staff are extremely friendly and kind. I've never had a bad stay here, and whenever I'm in town, this is my hotel of choice. Hands down the best around here, and definitely worth staying at if you're nearby and need the perfect hotel. Happy new years, fellow reviewers.

My mom was thrilled with the smaller pillow Jay found for her, and knowing she'll sleep better over the next few nights made a real difference. My family had flown in for her 85th birthday, and on the first night she said the pillow was too big and she couldn't fall asleep. Jay was on duty when I asked at the front desk. He said all the hotel pillows were the same, then came up with an idea and disappeared for a couple of minutes, maybe to housekeeping, though I'm not sure. He came back with a smaller pillow and a pillowcase. That thoughtful gesture felt like it came from the heart. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile were special. He listened patiently to what I needed, even though the answer wasn't obvious, and took on the challenge. People are what make a hotel special, whatever you think of the place itself. Jay was outstanding. In more than 50 years of business and personal travel, I've only experienced this kind of genuine hospitality a few times. This was one of those moments, and he deserves all the recognition and credit he can get. I hope his management team sees this and recognizes him as a rising star.

The room and location were good, but the service left a bad taste. I booked through a third party and wasn't told there'd be a parking charge. At check-in, the guy gave me a parking permit without mentioning a nightly fee. I'd seen other reviews saying parking was free, so I was shocked to be charged $20 at checkout. When I asked about it, the guy was dismissive and said I should've read the policies. How was I supposed to know? I showed him the Google listing with free parking and he just said, “nope.” He eventually waived the fee, but his attitude was really off-putting.

I was here for job training in mid November and put a card on file for incidentals. Somehow two charges, $94 and $99, showed up for food I never got, ate, or ordered. I never ordered room service or ate breakfast there. When I contacted the business and restaurant manager, I was told I had “pre ordered breakfast but never ate it.” I said that wasn't what happened, but since then I haven't been able to reach them. He claims to have called and left messages, but he hasn't. Every time I call, the manager is unavailable, or I'm put on a “brief hold” and then hung up on. If it were a simple mistake, I could understand, but after how this has been handled, I'm beginning to think something more fraudulent happened. Now I'll have to contact my credit card company to try to get back the money that was fraudulently taken. Beware when booking and staying at this hotel.
