We really enjoyed the stay, especially since this was a last-minute booking for a family emergency and the hotel worked out perfectly. Jon at the front desk was great, and the place was very clean. The fitness center was much nicer than I expected, so I wish I'd brought workout clothes. The pool was closed for maintenance the morning we checked out, but we understand these things happen. We'd absolutely stay again.

Our family stayed at Norfolk Hampton Inn after losing our Dad and Brother. It was a sad, difficult time, and we were grateful to have several rooms together. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and breakfast always had plenty of delicious choices. The staff went above and beyond to support and comfort us. Thank you to Janie the General Manager, Jon, Brittney, Camille, David, and Matt at the front desk, Michelle and Debbie at breakfast, Doug in maintenance, and Maria in housekeeping. The recent remodel was done superbly. Everything felt spacious, quiet, comfortable, and very clean. Deb was great at the breakfast bar, and Jon took good care of us at the desk.

After a drive of more than six hours, this was just what we needed during a sad trip for a funeral. The room was quiet, comfortable, and great, and breakfast was delicious. The man who checked us in was sweet and polite and made the process quick and easy. A young woman at the front desk was friendly too. Your hospitality made a hard trip better. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place in the Norfolk area. 10/10!

The room took four minutes to get hot shower water, which seems wasteful if guests have to run it that long. In 24 years of retirement and hotel stays, I don't think I've encountered one without recirculating hot water. I'm not sure who's responsible for that, though. The staff and service here in Norfolk were spot on, and the breakfast was an appreciated bonus. A few things seem to be Hampton Inn corporate choices: bathroom barn doors don't give much privacy, and the microwave and coffee maker were placed so low they're only convenient for a toddler. The blue velveteen pullout sofa also seems like an odd design choice, even with a throw pillow matching the desk chair. I still like the Hampton chain for its usually clean properties, friendly staff, and reliably good free breakfast. I'd stay here again and recommend it, even to friends.
