The rooms are great, and the fridge and microwave are really convenient. The ice machine always works, and there’s on-site laundry too, though it’s small.

The dog in the room next to mine barked at 3 a.m. and kept me awake, even though there are signs saying no animals. The employees were sassy when I dealt with them. The $2 laundry was about the only thing I can thank them for. Wouldn't recommend it.

For the price, the stay was pretty good. The lobby and updated rooms look nice inside, though the outside seemed sketchy. I did find a few stains on the sheets and blankets. It's not on the level of a Hilton or similar hotel, but the overall experience was decent for what it cost.

The outside might put you off, but it's worth giving the place a chance. We found freshly renovated rooms, decent beds, no bad smells, and good water pressure. You can catch Norfolk Transit nearby or walk to a few shops for food and supplies. The customer service was outstanding the whole time, better than I've had at numerous other hotels. Definitely worth the money.
