Norfolk Lodge & Suites, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We came for a wedding and were glad this place was recommended. Breakfast had a decent variety, and there are putt putt, a restaurant, and other amenities on site. Our clean room had a door leading out to the pool area, with a couple of chairs, a table, and towels. The night desk staff were super friendly and helpful. We'd absolutely stay here again if we're back in the area.

I stayed for three weeks on business and would recommend this place for a leisure trip too. The rooms were nice and clean, the front desk was always helpful, and room service was great.

We rented a conference room for the weekend with a TV, fridge, sink, wet bar, and its own restroom. It was awesome, though $500 for the whole weekend seemed outrageous when we were also renting rooms. Our rooms were huge, the view was beautiful, and the kids loved the space. We had a wonderful three day extended family reunion over Thanksgiving 2025, even though we were snowed in. The service was great, and the common areas were awesome, though there may be some drunks there after the bars close. People were drinking and playing games, maybe because we were all snowed in. The pool area was neat, a little small for such a big, crowded hotel, but probably still the biggest indoor pool in town. We loved the poolside suites, though they were more outdated than the other rooms, and the thermostat didn't work, so they got HOT. There's an onsite restaurant with fantastic food and its own brewery. Check out the plant walk, it's a mini lied jungle. We'll be back, hopefully this summer. It's perfect for our family retreats!

We used to love this hotel, but it's sad to see the place going downhill. We stayed Saturday night, Oct 11, and found a blood stain on the sheets when we pulled down the bedding to put our granddaughter to bed. At the front desk, we were offered another room or fresh bedding. Later that night, the manager on duty called and took $50 off the bill. That's a big deal? You hope for clean bedding at an upscale motel. At checkout Sunday morning, I raised it again and the woman at the desk was very rude. She said she'd gladly give me an application to apply for housekeeping if I didn't like how things were done. That comment was uncalled for.
