I asked to switch rooms after spotting black mold by the AC as soon as we checked in. The next morning, I went for breakfast with my son, and a staff member got upset because I was taking more food than he thought I needed. I explained the rest of my family was still in the room. After that, I asked who was in charge and said we'd leave, and I expected a refund for the remaining 4 nights because of how intolerant he was toward my family. I did eventually get the refund, though it took a while. Staff can be polite or rude, depending on who you get. We usually travel as a family and just need beds, a TV, and working utilities. For a quick night while passing through, I'd still hesitate to recommend this place.

The bed and pillows were okay, and the shower had good pressure and stayed hot. That was about the extent of the comfort. The sheets were thin and had holes, and the blanket had burn marks. When housekeeping came by the first morning, we asked for towels and soap. The man took the used towels and said he'd bring replacements, but neither towels nor soap ever showed up. My husband had to go looking for towels the next day. We chose this as a last option for OU family weekend because we wanted to be in Norman, and the location worked well for everything we had planned. But the building and its walkways and stairs looked old, worn, and dirty. Inside, the room felt outdated, with mismatched old furniture, uneven dim lighting, and few outlets. The blackout curtains had no sheer layer, so there was no way to let in daylight without exposing the room. Corners in both the bathroom and bedroom looked like they hadn't been cleaned. We were ready to leave and won't be back.

The front desk staff and maintenance workers were pleasant. When the toilet stopped flushing properly the morning after we arrived, maintenance came and fixed it quickly. The rest of the room was a letdown. There was mold on the shower curtain, and the shower leaked and had very poor pressure. The bed was okay for the two nights we were stuck in Oklahoma, but it had only two loose sheets, no fitted sheet, and the blanket felt like curtain fabric. The so-called mattress protector wouldn't stay on overnight. I wasn't impressed by any of that.

I've stayed here twice, and both visits have been clean and pleasant, a nice little getaway for whatever brings me to town for a couple nights. The heat and AC work well, the rooms have all the amenities, and the price is fair compared with paying too much somewhere else. There's plenty of nearby shopping for clothes, food, household things, car supplies, and hardware. There's no laundry room, but I knew that before booking. Thanks, guys!
