The room was filthy. There was pet hair all over the bed and cigarette burns on the sheets, and I never saw anyone change the bedding. When I asked for fresh sheets, they acted like it was a huge favor. I doubt they vacuum or do much cleaning at all. The cable stopped working on the first night; they said it would be fixed soon, but it never was. Breakfast was a joke. I stayed two nights because it cost less than $100 and included free WiFi. If my kids had been with me, I would've asked for a refund and left right away. That was about all I could say in its favor.

The roof work made it impossible for us to sleep during the day, which we needed because my husband and I were in Norman for a night job. There was constant drilling and banging. We asked the front desk for a downstairs room where the noise might be less noticeable, but they kept saying the work would be done soon. After three sleepless days, they put up a note apologizing for the inconvenience. We stayed three weeks, and in all that time they never changed our sheets, even when they cleaned the room. The sheets were already covered in stains when we arrived. One of the worst hotel stays I've had.

We only stayed because the other hotels were sold out for game weekend or had become way too expensive for a last-minute booking. If we'd had another option, we would've left right away. The room was badly maintained and dirty throughout: grimy corners and toilet area in the tiny bathroom, stained sheets, dirty walls, and a stained chair cushion. I didn't want to walk around barefoot, judging by the rest of the room. The nightstand trim was coming off, the hand towel bar was broken, the bathroom light bulb was out, and the bedside fixtures were broken too. Breakfast choices were sparse.

We stayed at the Econo Lodge in Norman for two weeks, and there are a lot of reasons we wouldn't return. The continental breakfast was very limited, and there were no washer or dryer facilities on site. We couldn't get basic hospitality toiletries, and when we asked for toilet paper, they were out. There was no microwave or cooking setup in the rooms. WiFi was unreliable, and making a local call required a credit card. I wouldn't recommend this place.

We had a terrible stay. In the first room, none of the lights worked, so we asked to move. I almost wish we hadn't, because the replacement was clearly a smoking room despite being labeled non-smoking. Opening every window and door didn't get rid of the awful smell. After two nights, my boyfriend started getting bites all over, which turned out to be bed bugs. Around 11 p.m. we needed help with the door, but the people in the lobby were asleep. We knocked and rang the bell, and nobody woke up. I could keep going. Please don't stay here.
