The room was clean and spacious, and the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was a nice bonus. Front desk staff were extremely helpful at check-in and throughout our stay. Thank you for letting us use your wheelchair, it was a huge help to my father-in-law after his surgery. I’d gladly stay here again. Thanks for making the visit so pleasant.
Our two-bedroom suite was especially spacious, and the rooms were clean and remodeled. Having a full kitchen was convenient, and the complimentary breakfast had simple, tasty hot options. The staff were very friendly too. When we needed to change rooms, General Manager Robert went out of his way to help and made it smooth and stress-free. He was kind, friendly, and genuinely empathetic. We had a great stay at Hyatt House Philadelphia/Plymouth Meeting and would highly recommend it.
The front desk service is second to none, especially when Rania is there. She goes above and beyond to give you a top-quality experience. Rooms are clean, and the hotel offers great service for an unbelievable price. A full complimentary breakfast is included, which is rare these days. There are plenty of businesses, restaurants, and shopping malls nearby, and this is the only two-suite-bedroom hotel in or near Philadelphia. You can’t go wrong with this brand.
It’s a decent bargain, and the location is about 20 minutes from the KOP mall. Breakfast is included, but it’s average, with just the basics. The walls are very thin, so you hear every little thing from the room above. I’d ask for the 4th floor if staying here.
This has been my favorite affordable local hotel for last-minute stays, like when I’m between leases or dealing with renovations. I know it’s not a 5-star property, but I stayed for two weeks in November and was excited to return while between apartments. I might need hotels for about 60 days, and I’d planned to spend at least half that time here. I’d already booked 9-10 nights and expected to add 30 or more. I’m loyal to Hyatt, usually book within the brand, and had hoped to reach Globalist status this year. This stay would have made that realistic. I have a cat, so I called on February 10th because I know Hyatt can be strict about pets. I specifically asked whether the pet-friendly policy included cats and was told very clearly and enthusiastically that it did. I have the call log, and I wouldn’t have called a hotel I know so well unless I needed to check about bringing my cat. I also put it in my reservation notes days beforehand, but nobody contacted me. At check-in, I mentioned it again and was suddenly told it was a problem. The way it was handled felt disrespectful. I was basically told “anyone here would have said no,” which made it sound like I was lying. I didn’t make up the earlier conversation. I was left scrambling on a Saturday for a long stay at the last minute. That’s much more expensive and difficult, especially across two weekends. Not charging me for that one night or the cancellation doesn’t make up for the cost, stress, tears, and inconvenience. They had given me wrong information before I booked, had my cat noted in the reservation, and could have called after it came in. I did what I could by checking ahead, putting it in writing, and being upfront at check-in. This should have been avoidable. I really hope this can somehow be made right. I’d been looking forward to returning for two weeks, and finding out on February 10th that cats were allowed made me thrilled. Instead, I was sitting in my car crying. Living out of hotels for two months is already stressful. Thank God this wasn’t a weekend with inflated prices or all the hotels sold out, which happens often. Thank God I live nearby, have family here, and know the area. I wasn’t arriving after a six-hour flight with no idea where to turn. I’ve heard from a few Hyatt loyalists that some places say they don’t take cats but may make case-by-case exceptions for someone committed to Hyatt and spending many nights there. I feel they could have considered that. I bring a collapsible playpen and keep my cat in it much of the time, with room to play, eat, and use the litter. I do that because my anxiety gets the best of me and I worry someone might open the door without knocking and let the cat out, not because the cat is bad. This was an awful experience at a place I’ve loved staying. I was so excited to come back, then ended up crying in the car after being made to feel like a liar. I’m happy to remove this if they make things right.
