AmericInn Lodge & Suites North Branch

I usually stay closer to my Minnesota workshop, but nearby places were booked this time, so I tried this motel. The extra drive is about 30 minutes instead of 15, and I’m glad I made the choice. The staff greeted me whenever I passed, check-in was easy, and bringing my service dog caused no trouble. Breakfast had a decent range of choices and was clean and well stocked. I didn’t use the pool, though it looked lovely and well kept. Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, Caribou Coffee, and McDonald’s are close by, which made food and coffee runs easy. I travel here around three times each summer, and this may become my regular place.

There was plenty of room in the pool and hot tub area for several families at once without it feeling crowded. In the room, the mini fridge was a good size, and there was also a microwave and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable, the room clean, and the staff friendly. Breakfast had lots of options and was excellent. A really good stay for the price.

After a house fire, we needed somewhere to stay right away, and they took us and our dogs in quickly. The deck girl was very nice. The rate was marked up for the night, and for that price I expected them to replace the nasty toilet seats and add privacy curtains. That’s my main issue with the place.

I’ve stayed at many Wyndham properties as a platinum member, and the North Branch Americinn is the nicest one so far. The place was very clean, easy to get to, and close to several places to eat. Everyone I passed greeted me with a smile. Check-in and check-out were both quick, and I had a quiet, comfortable stay. They’d decorated nicely for fall, too. I’d choose it again without hesitation.
