Holiday Inn Express and Suites North Brunswick by IHG

Cynthia at the front desk was amazing, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were clean. They offer hot breakfast, though we didn't have any. There's not much around, but a Sheets and a grocery store are next door, and the hotel itself doesn't have many food options. Still, it was a great hotel.

Black hairs were scattered around the room, in the shower, by the microwave, and on the sink. It was very unpleasant. We were also disappointed about the pool. The booking said breakfast was included and there was an indoor swimming pool. Breakfast was provided, but at check-in the desk told us the pool water was cold, so swimming wasn't really possible. The pool was the main reason we chose this hotel, and we wouldn't have booked had we known. The hotel offered no compensation.

Manager Ruth was very sweet and friendly, and kindly upgraded us to a larger room with a sofa since there were four adults. The hotel was well maintained, and the entrance and lobby were neat and welcoming. The location shown on Google Maps was wrong, so we had to return to the booking website for the correct directions.

The employees are nice, but the wedding guests at the hotel on Nov 8,2025 were awful and inconsiderate. They were in the one room above mine, stomping and running around until 4am, even after the manager asked them to be quiet and consider other guests. The poor insulation may have contributed, too. If this happens often, maybe the hotel should put wedding guests on the 1st & 2nd floors instead of upstairs. It'd be a shame for the hotel to have nice employees and furniture but have people avoid the whole place because wedding parties don't follow 10pm quietness and consideration for other guests, as they do at other hotels.
