The journey to the room felt like a tour of a building that had stopped trying to improve. There was damaged Sheetrock, torn wallpaper, and only one working elevator, struggling along. The room had no window, which raised questions rather than offering privacy. Inside, the smell started with dog wash and turned into stale ashtray, with a general sense of cutting corners. The experience wasn't hostile, just deeply indifferent, which somehow felt worse. Even at $49, I would've felt overcharged. If you want somewhere to sleep and reflect on your life choices, maybe this fits. For anything like comfort, keep looking.

The rooms are modernized, though the TV channel selection is limited. There's plenty of parking and a pool, plus a restaurant in the building. Downstairs, the bar stays open late and you can order food there too. The place is pretty nice.

I was here for an event, so I hadn't chosen the hotel. My stay was October 8-12, 2025. The open common areas looked great and had lots of spots to sit and mingle, and the front desk staff were very helpful. The fitness room worked for me, though one of the three treadmills had a problem. I reported it, but it was still the same two days later. I thought they should have unplugged it and put up an out-of-order sign. My room was nice but very dark, especially around the microwave and coffee maker. Even with all the lights on, I needed a flashlight to see how much water to add. The bathroom was in bad shape, with rusting fixtures coming loose from the wall, beaten-up walls, and a door whose bottom wood panel was falling out and letting the glass slide down. It really needed a remodel. The lighted rectangles in my photo were taken with the room dark and bathroom light on, and were bright enough to disturb someone trying to sleep. The hotel is near the airport. I heard a plane now and then, but it was only a faint roar and not a problem. Noise from the hallway was worse: people talking outside sounded like they were in the room.

The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby bar was a good place to hang out, and the restaurant was great. The Bourbon salmon was moist and flavorful, and the shrimp and grits were tasty without being overloaded with butter. The restaurant furniture was badly worn, surprising to see it get that far, but the food was good. Convenient for the airport.
