The rooms were immaculately clean, carpets included, and everything worked and smelled great. I liked the rich, dark decor, which suits the Charleston area. Good water pressure, helpful housekeeping when needed without bothering you, and nice front desk staff. It's perfectly adequate, and I'd stay again when traveling. There seemed to be a lot of workers around. The carpet is a little stained, and the elevator smells a bit like oil. Those were the only downsides. A very nice hotel, give it a try.

My king room was small but nice, and the blinds made it really dark, which I appreciated. The free hot breakfast was pretty good compared with other hotel breakfasts I've had: eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, waffles, fresh fruit, and yogurt. The staff were helpful. It's maybe a 10-minute drive. There's also a pool and fitness center, though I didn't use either this time. I was happy with the hotel.
Breakfast was good, and the staff were nice, but the stained hallway carpets made a poor first impression. Our room was good, though it didn't have a fridge or microwave. The other two Hamptons we'd stayed at had both, so we'd brought food that needed refrigeration and couldn't store it. There was also a bad smell outside that drifted into the hotel hallways. I'm not sure we'd choose this one again.
All-day coffee in the lobby and a convenient shuttle were nice to have. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was great, and the service stood out. Elisabeth at reception was especially personable and helpful, and she really made our stay wonderful.
The staff were nice, the rooms clean, and breakfast was fine. For an airport hotel, it was quieter than I expected. The odd part was that my wife and I got a room with two double beds. We thought they were queens until we lay down, otherwise we might have asked to change rooms. I'm only taking off a star for that, since I don't remember seeing double beds at a Hampton before. Usually it's a king or two queens, so double-check when booking.
