Spruce Moose Lodge and Cottages

We had a great, relaxing visit at Spruce Moose Lodge. Nellie and Leon were friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious. Our room had a comfortable bed and its own bathroom, and the spacious living room was a nice place to unwind. The neighborhood was quiet and picturesque, with vintage shops and restaurants an easy walk away. We found plenty to do, including a visit to the factory outlets, and would recommend the lodge for a relaxing vacation.

Being able to walk into town was a big plus for me. It’s a 5 or 10 minute walk on sidewalks the whole way, and the price was surprisingly good. My friends paid the same for a terrible motel. The big room is pleasant for sitting by the fire, and my bedroom was roomier than I expected. The old building has a rustic feel, but everything seemed well cared for, with a nice mix of old and new. I had to leave very early for a hike and missed breakfast, though it sounded delicious. It’s a cute B&B with nice owners.

Leon’s breakfast is outstanding, and he went out of his way to work around my dietary restrictions. Everything he made was done well. I’ve stayed with Nellie and Leon since they bought the place, and even before that. They’re two of the kindest, friendliest, most accommodating people I’ve met, and their B&B feels so cozy and warm.

Nellie and Leon made us feel at home for a lovely weekend, and the other guests were great too. I especially liked having their dogs around since ours couldn’t travel with us. They’re conveniently located for visiting many places in the area, and I’m looking forward to going again soon. Thanks for a great weekend.
