Holiday Inn Express North East by IHG

I got the last room that fit what I needed, and the kind attendant found every discount I qualified for. I was driving from Raleigh, NC to Boston when my hands started clinching up and it wasn't safe to keep going. After guzzling a couple of mustard packets at the Chesapeake House to ease the seizing, I called the hotel and made it over in about five minutes. The room is clean and has all the features I like. For a cost effective hotel, this is a straight up 5 star review. I'm sure I'll enjoy the free breakfast too, it is always substantial enough to add considerable value.

Jade made check-in easy when our family needed help. She was knowledgeable, patient with my 3-year-old grandbaby, got us the discounts we qualified for, helped with the Wi-Fi password, and brought extra towels and extra ice bags. The staff were beyond amazing, and food delivery was fast and great. The hotel was clean, without that closed-up room smell. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruit and juice, sausage, eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, and several omelettes, including veggie and cheese. There was 24/7 coffee too. We were in Suite 211 on the second floor, with an elevator if you don't want the stairs. The pool is open in season, and each floor has vending machines, soda, and ice. Walmart and everything else are close by. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a hotel in the area. Thank you, JADE, for making our stay wonderful.

The hotel itself is nice, but the staff are a different story. The owner is arrogant, and housekeepers should remember people can hear them even when they think they're having a private conversation. I heard one talking on the phone about things she planned to take from another room, so I wanted to warn the manager. When I asked to speak to the manager later, I realized it was the same woman, Jill. She's the manager? Isn't that convenient. I can only imagine how much has gone missing on her shift, and it makes complete sense to me why she's still employed. The owner needs to reevaluate the staff.

We had no problems making the reservation, checking in, or checking out, and my partner and I would stay here again. The rooms were clean, breakfast was tasty with plenty of choices, and the staff were pleasant. A wonderful experience.
