The location of unit 205 was perfect, but the unit itself was absolutely not. Charging over $1,000 a night for it is wrong. The AC didn’t work, and the maintenance guy told my husband the unit was junk. The following day, water leaked from the living room ceiling because of the AC. I slipped when I came around the corner, thinking my kids had left water from not drying off. This was completely unacceptable. The dishwasher was filling with nasty water from the sink, and one king bedroom smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I messaged asking for management to call, but they sent another maintenance guy who seemed unhappy to be there. He cleaned up the ceiling leak and tried to leave, so I had to chase him down to get the dishwasher fixed. He acted like we were an inconvenience. The sliding glass doors were also very hard to open because of dirt buildup. It’s a beautiful place, but it needs major attention.

We’ve stayed here for several years. The rooms are big, and they updated the furniture and beds, which were due for it. But the cleaning has really gone downhill, both inside the house and around the pool. That was very disappointing, especially at this price for a week.

The view was nice, the pool and hot tub were good, and the beach was no more than a two-minute walk. Still, I was disappointed after paying good money for this condo. The sink leaked onto the floor, where kids could easily slip, and there was a huge crack near the fridge that I almost tripped over whenever I opened it. There was black mold in the staircase. The condo wasn’t clean when we arrived, the beds were uncomfortable, and the whole place smelled of mildew.

The AC worked great, the place was comfortable, and the beach was just a short walk away. The views were exactly what we expected. We even found what we’re pretty sure were fossil shark teeth right on the beach from our unit. I’d definitely stay again.

We had 12 people, six kids and six adults, at Atlantis Villas 205 in North Myrtle Beach in mid-October 2020, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen had a great set of utensils and enough place settings for the whole group. A full-size fridge and freezer left plenty of room for the week’s groceries. The pool was heated and clean, and I’ll definitely plan to come back. Parking was the one drawback. It was a bit tight with our large 15-passenger van, which sometimes made getting in and out of the spots difficult.
