We spent $500 for two nights in a so-called luxury room, with paper-thin walls separating us from a long-term stay with children and a baby. They screamed, cried and ran around all day, starting before 7 a.m. and still going close to 9 p.m. They were screaming again before 7 the next morning. It would've been different if the hotel were sold out, but it wasn't. The shower and whirlpool faucets leaked day and night, and the bathroom sink drained slowly. We put food in the fridge without realizing it wasn't plugged in, and by the time we got back from the casino most of it was warm and no good. Apparently the microwave sitting on the fridge can't be plugged in at the same time. At checkout, the front desk attendant couldn't have cared less and told us to call management. They also said they can't tell people not to bring their kids, even though they put us next to a long-term stay with children. For $250 a night, I expected better. I've had a better stay at a Motel 6 for less than half the price. I won't return and recommend staying elsewhere.

The room itself was great, and the staff and limo ride were great too. But after using the tub, the floors got soaking wet because there wasn't proper ventilation. Walking through the room became like a slip and slide, so my wife and I left. I'm not willing to put up with that danger. Maybe it'll be a great stay once maintenance fixes the ventilation. Give them a chance to fix it.

We spent five nights at this inn during our Mystic, CT trip, and it was extremely disappointing. The room was poorly kept, with dingy tile floors I wouldn't walk on barefoot, old lumpy pillows, and bedding housekeeping had barely made. There was a constant smell of smoke and weed across the property that made things unpleasant from the start. The basics weren't up to standard either. The soap had a strange smell and wasn't replaced consistently. The TV, fridge and microwave were outdated and didn't work properly. Housekeeping was irregular, and when they did come, the service felt careless and unprofessional. The limo to Foxwoods smelled foul, making even the short ride uncomfortable. For the nightly price, this level of cleanliness, upkeep and guest care isn't acceptable. I wouldn't stay again.

The workers were amazing, and when we complained that we were exhausted, they apologized and quickly moved us. They made a frustrating stay easier. The location is fabulous, close to two casinos, and feels like camping without the camping. The room smelled musty, with mold on the lampshade, windowsills and in the closet. The hot tub buttons had been ripped off so it wouldn't work, and the bathrooms were dark. The walls were paper thin. Our neighbors were nosy and rude. Their baby woke up screaming in the night, and no one got up to check or calm them. I don't mind a baby crying, but I was upset that no one checked on them. Before 7 a.m., what sounded like 20 kids were running and screaming, waking us again after the baby had kept us up all night. Adults were yelling too, and it sounded like 50 people in that room. Another review I read described the same room and problem. If outdated rooms, possible mold and noisy neighbors don't bother you, this place may suit you. The staff were amazing.

I've stayed here for years, usually in the huts nearest the main entrance, and this is the first time I've been dissatisfied. This time our room was practically connected to the lobby. It was a luxury room with a Jacuzzi, but smelled musty, the paint was peeling all over the walls, and the AC was so high up that I had to stand on a chair to reach it. The complimentary breakfast was another disappointment. They were out of almost everything, even sugar for coffee. I spoke to the front office clerk, who said they hadn't had time to get what they needed. The gas station is just up the street for sugar. I asked for a manager and was told he wouldn't be in until Tuesday. After taxes, this room cost over $300. I'm very disappointed.
