Holiday Inn Express & Suites Syracuse North Airpor

We picked this place because it was a quick drive to the hockey tournament, but the room was barely clean beyond the made beds. There were long dark hairs all over the floor, sticky tables, and someone's clothes in the drawers. The TV remote wouldn't connect or work, and there were only two towels for me and my kids. The worst part was the customer service. For all three days, the owner, wife, or daughter at the desk seemed put out whenever I asked for anything, whether remote batteries, a bath towel, or a pool towel. Other hockey parents had similar problems. Zero things Grand about this hotel.

They charged our account before we even got to the hotel, and the stay wasn't good. The room fridge didn't work, the microwave barely did, and both the door handle and lock jiggled. There was dust on top of the fridge. The vending machines and the downstairs refreshment area were empty, so we had to go to a store for drinks. I'm not pleased at all. I won't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it.

I was there for one night, and the room still had signs of previous guests instead of being fully clean. I woke up with a lot of bites on my body that seemed consistent with bed bugs. I emailed management to try to reach them, but haven't heard back. Be careful if you're staying in room 210.

We were grateful to be there for just one night. The room floor was so sticky our shoes clung to it, and it smelled as if a chain smoker had lived there for 50 years. There was also what looked like several different kinds of mold in the shower. The front desk clerk seemed irritated when we checked in, and again when I asked about another ice machine because the one on the main floor was broken. He said only the one on the third floor worked. Awful place.
