Motel 6 Westborough

The staff at the desk were kind, the wifi connected easily and worked well, and the location was mostly quiet, aside from a few loud neighbors. But the rooms weren’t cleaned well. The bedding was dirty and had cigarette holes, and even the non-smoking rooms smelled strongly of smoke. The bed was so uncomfortable that I woke up with terrible back pain every morning. At this price I wasn’t expecting luxuries. I still expect a clean room and clean bedding, whatever I pay. That’s the bare minimum, especially during a pandemic.

We paid over $100 for one night and were very dissatisfied. The staff said “sorry, the manager is away in India” when two different people at the front desk heard that our room wasn’t clean. It looked like only the sheets had been changed and the trash taken out. The tables were sticky, the microwave and fridge were dirty, and old food was still in the fridge. There was hair on the toilet and in the shower, plus globs of toothpaste in the sink. The hallway carpet was stained and the hall smelled awful. The walls were paper thin, so we heard the next room’s TV all night, and guests or staff were loud outside our door at 6:00am.

Once I got into the second room, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the microwave and fridge were a nice touch. It had recently been refurbished and looked VERY NICE, though the bathroom work was sloppy. They’d taken tiles from either side of the new sink and leaned them against the wall instead of cutting them to fit and putting them back. The first room hadn’t been serviced, with the beds unmade, so they moved me. The replacement smelled unpleasant too, and the hallway to my room had a bad odor. This Motel6 needs work to meet the high standards I expect from other locations.

We got there at 12:20am after bad weather and traffic, completely exhausted, so I didn’t complain that night. The room was noisy, and the window was cracked and wouldn’t lock. Even though it was supposed to be non-smoking, the motel smelled damp and smoky, and the next night when I unpacked, all our clothes stank. We stayed on Friday, July 27,2018. This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I’ve used many motel 6 locations, but after this experience I may never stay in one again. This one needs to be completely redone. You should be ashamed of its condition. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!!
