Staybridge Suites Oak Ridge by IHG

I chose this place because it was close to the laboratory. The staff were extremely nice, and when I lost my jacket at breakfast, it turned up later in lost-and-found. Everyone seemed very honest. Still, I’m not sure I’d stay at a Staybridge again. The room felt gloomy, with little light, worn walls, and an old carpet that needs work. There was a stale food smell as soon as I opened the door to the hallway, and it lingered all the way along it. I set the AC to my preferred 73 F, but the room stayed cold, hovering around 68-69 F. Finding the entrance was a struggle because there were no signs, and it was right beside the dumpster. The lack of privacy bothered me most. At 4 am, headlights shone straight into my eyes and woke me. I usually sleep with the windows open because I like morning light to wake me, but here I went to the window half naked and found two strangers staring at me as they got out of their car. It was embarrassing. I haven’t stayed anywhere else with parking this close to the rooms. There’s usually some space and a hedge. I can only imagine how that would have felt if my wife and kids had been there. It was a weirdly bad experience with this brand, and I think I’ll avoid it in the future.

The gazebo and fire pit make a quiet, relaxing spot to unwind after a long day, and the location feels safe and convenient. Staybridge Suites of Oak Ridge is my favorite hotel. Donna makes the best food I’ve ever had at a hotel, and Misty does a phenomenal job running the place. She puts guest satisfaction first and is always friendly and helpful.

The room felt spotless and spacious, with a full kitchen and a comfortable, home-like layout. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, conveniently placed for getting around Oak Ridge and just a short drive from Knoxville. Staff were welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly from check-in onward. I enjoyed the consistently fresh, delicious complimentary breakfast, and the evening socials were a nice way to unwind after a long day. The indoor pool, gym, and laundry facilities were especially good and well maintained. Whether you’re here for work or leisure, they go above and beyond. I’ll stay here again on my next trip.

Clean rooms, a delicious breakfast, and friendly, polite staff. It’s pet friendly, and there are cats around the hotel. The location is great, as close to the labs as you can get. Sometimes they even have food in the evenings, which I’ve never seen before. Best hotel I’ve stayed at.
