Oakridge Inn

Oakview has a nice little community of its own, with restaurants, a coffee shop, donuts, and Ojai Pizza right nearby. It’s just outside Ojai, but getting downtown is an easy, quick drive. We put our film crew up here for a few weeks from December to January, and it felt like a cozy home away from home. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the manager handled our last-minute changes well. If you’re staying a few days, I’d go for a room with a kitchenette.

The location worked well for visiting Lake Casitas, Oak View, Meiners Oaks, or Ojai, and the rates were much more reasonable than the motels farther toward Ojai. The rooms are clean and laid out well, and the place has been refurbished regularly over the years. Current management are polite and quick to help, from reservations through special requests. The noise is my one problem. They use local contractor crews in the rooms during the middle of the week. Every time I’ve stayed, trucks have pulled out very early, around 5ish. On my last visit, a bunch of guys were standing around in the parking lot, drinking and laughing loudly.

I’ve stayed at Oakridge off and on for about 10 years, and this staff has been the best by far. Albert/Brett/Katie/Carlene were all friendly and helpful. My room was spacious, with a microwave, fridge, and comfortable bed. Coffee and fruit were available each morning, with extra items on weekends. I didn’t use the jacuzzi, but it looked clean. Oakridge Inn is between Ojai and Ventura, and the prices are affordable. I was there for four nights recently, and I plan to come back.

The office has coffee and a few breakfast items in the morning, which was great. I booked at the last minute and wound up staying three days. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and it was a quiet place. The customer service was helpful and friendly. I’d definitely stay there again!
