Queen's Inn By the River

It still felt private and spacious even though I believe all the rooms were full. The place is awesome, with more character and on-site accommodations if you’re looking for a change from standard hotels. I’d recommend giving it a try.

The little guidebook in the room was a great touch, and the service was fantastic. They’d also typed up a letter with all the instructions. What an awesome little place!

The patio above the river running just below the property was such a relaxing spot. We also got to hear live music on Saturday night, and the on-site Idle Hour Winery & Restaurant was a real bonus. The food was delicious, and it was lovely to have their handcrafted wines just steps from our room. This is a charming, family-owned hotel in Oakhurst, with a peaceful, romantic setting. Our rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Yosemite National Park’s entrance is only about 15 minutes away. It really feels like a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to return for another wonderful stay.

The grounds were beautifully kept, and we walked down to the water, which was so peaceful. There’s a large deck with plenty of lighting and a fire pit, plus a smaller deck outside the cabins with a table and chairs for morning coffee. We met the kitty who lives at the Inn and knew not to bother him too much. We stayed Monday and Tuesday, arriving around 6 p.m. on a Monday at the end of April 2025. The owner was there and directed me to the keys for guests arriving after office hours. I already knew where to go from a previous review. Check-in had been completed through the third-party booking site, so it was seamless. Our little cabin sat on the hillside above the parking area, and it was adorable, small, cozy, very clean, and had no odors. The bedding was perfect. The winery and beer garden are open Wednesday through Sunday, so we missed them. We would have loved Trivia Night, but understand they’re only open on busier nights. The cabin had a Keurig, coffee, two wine glasses, granola bars, and complimentary cookies. The property is easy to find just off the main road, and not too far from Yosemite’s south entrance. We’ll definitely come back when we can enjoy the winery, live music, and trivia night!
