We’d been here about two weeks and planned to stay through December, with four more rooms for my husband’s work crew. At first, Trisha made a strong impression as a hard-working, kind manager who handled issues promptly. We appreciated her efforts to make everyone comfortable. The furnished apartment-style rooms have full kitchens, full-size fridges, cabinets, pots, and pans. There’s no lobby or refreshments, but a gas station is within a mile. Room 717 is spacious and has bunk beds. We enjoyed the sweetcorn festival at wirth Park across the street and watched the parade from our air-conditioned room. The train passes by and can be heard, though it didn’t keep anyone up. My room faced the tracks, and I learned to tune it out. The urgent care attached to the building is a separate business from Trisha’s, but it was reassuring to have nearby. Update: after months here, things took a turn for the worse. Trisha has been extremely unprofessional and unpredictable, with erratic behavior on the property. At times, she appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. One guest was told to leave in the middle of the night after accusations and erratic conduct. We explained that she couldn’t fraternize and black out with our employees, then hold them accountable for things they all took part in while drinking the night before. We’ve lost confidence in the management and won’t return while she’s in charge. There have also been multiple instances of staff entering rooms without proper notice, so guests should be cautious. We’re taking our business elsewhere and advise others to be careful when booking.

We thought we’d booked a Courtyard by Marriott, but this is definitely not a hotel. The manager called it an apartment, and it’s set up for extended stays. There’s no lobby or hotel amenities, and for $250 per room per night, there wasn’t even body wash, shampoo, soap, or conditioner. It also looked as if it were at a Marriott and a golf course, but it wasn’t as advertised. The train tracks across the street kept us up all night, and the place was loud. There’s an urgent care attached, which the manager was quick to mention. Maybe she gets a referral when guests go there. This is not a hotel.

Patricia Anne was very helpful when I asked about booking a room for a friend and two children the week before Labor Day. The double queen was reasonably priced, with a Dennys a few minutes away and a nice little Mexican restaurant just east of us. I’d recommend it.

My flight was canceled because of storms, so I couldn’t stay here. Trisha was understanding and really helpful, and she made the whole thing easy. I appreciated that a lot. I’ll be traveling soon and look forward to staying here then.

The staff were accommodating and helpful, and the place felt peaceful and outdoorsy. It was clean and very nice, with everything new. A lovely, homey place that I’d recommend.
