Capri Motel

I’ve been here for two weeks so far, in two different rooms, and I’ve felt really comfortable. The rooms are good quality, and I haven’t seen a cockroach or been bitten by a bed bug. I’m not sure why people keep saying that, but everyone has their own opinion 🤷😊

The room smelled of cigarettes, and both toilets in our two rooms were broken. A woman in the parking lot who appeared to be using drugs was hitting a pipe right in front of us. The bathroom was covered in nasty cigarette burns, the pillows underneath their cases were black, smelly, and filthy, and the bedspread had a funky smell too. I had to ask for clean sheets to sleep on. I kept the bathroom door and window open so I wouldn’t have an asthma attack. Just nasty. The shower curtain was covered in mildew.

It’s not my favorite place, though the staff are friendly. It can get loud, with drama sometimes. They have two rooms with a jacuzzi, and those usually get rented early in the day, so going early gives you a better chance of getting one. I’ve never had bugs in my room or found anything broken or wrong.

This is always my first choice for motels. They have my preferences on file and remember what I like and don’t like. The TV controls were a little confusing, and it takes two remotes, but the manager was happy to help. I also didn’t like paying 25 cents for ice, though those are minor annoyances compared with the friendly service and staff. Expect to pay 90-$100.00 a night. I asked about a weekly rate, but they don’t offer one. As long as you don’t cause any problems and stay chill, it’s a good hotel. It’s owned by foreigners who have assimilated to American ways and customs, so it’s all good. I have no complaints beyond the ice machine and the complicated TV.
