Holiday Inn Express & Suites New Castle by IHG

The coffee was a highlight for me, especially the machines that grind fresh beans. I got some really good cups out of them. Breakfast was great too, and those cheesy bagels are dangerously good. Our room was roomy and comfortable. I was in town for three days to see family and chose the hotel for its central spot, but it turned out to be better than I expected. The manager even called after check-in to see how everything was going, which was a nice touch.

The refund eventually came through on 11/19/2025, and I appreciate that, but it doesn't change how disgusting the room was. We had to switch rooms twice, and both had hair and grime throughout, including on the beds. They hadn't been cleaned. The manager said they would contact the booking company's customer service about a refund, but I never got one at the time. The Hampton Inn next door was much cleaner and renovated, with far nicer service and phenomenal rooms. I recommend that one. Don't stay here. Housekeeping was lazy and the rooms weren't cleaned.

At check-in, there were dirty Q-tips in the bathroom bin and hair all over the bathroom. The sheets had blood and other stains that looked questionable, and the carpet was so filthy my feet turned black. I went out and bought my own sheets, pillows, and slippers. Stay at your own risk.

I travel for work and stay in all kinds of hotels. This is one of the best I've found. The front desk is friendly and efficient, and the rooms are clean. Great place.
