Breakfast was complimentary, tasty, and kept clean and organized. The beds were very comfortable, the A/C was ice cold, and there was hot water on demand for showers. The rooms were very clean, I'd say 8/10. Our only real issue was the hallway carpet, which had a noticeable odor and looked like it had years of wear. The bathroom inside our room had a slight smell too, something a simple air freshener could fix. Updating the hallway floors would make a big difference. We had a great stay and would definitely come back, so I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

The rooms are cozy, the service is friendly, and the amenities are decent. It isn't luxurious, but it offers good value if you want convenience without spending too much. The hotel has a 3.5 rating and is a 2-star property.

The GM, Paul, keeps responding with the same expressions of shock, even though similar cleanliness complaints have appeared for months and years. The replies about cleanliness being a priority or housekeeping and maintenance sorting out the musty smell sound like autopilot, AI-generated responses, not honest messages written by the GM. The long trail of comments gives me no sign that anything is improving. Choice Hotels should revoke the property's status. The recurring problem is clear from the first impression: the hotel feels run down and looks dirty, grimy, and worn out. Floors seem not to have seen a mop in decades, and the hall carpets are nasty, stained with spills and rippled with wear. The air is musty, and the rooms don't give you that fresh sense of confidence.

The beds were comfortable and breakfast was good, but the room floors were so dirty that my stocking feet got filthy. The elevator floor looked like it had probably never been cleaned, and the laundry room was very dirty too. It's on a very busy street. The office clerk had no personality.
