Comfort Inn Gold Coast Beach Area

The location was great and the staff were friendly, but the room was a letdown. A ceiling hole was dropping what looked like shavings onto the toilet. They patched it quickly, though it was an unpleasant welcome. Two nights in, the sprinkler began leaking. Maintenance happened to be there both times, which helped, but it was still frustrating. The AC hose was lying across the floor, and the TV wouldn’t let us connect a laptop for streaming. We tried every trick we knew. Of the 2-99 channels, 16 were snowy and 3 stayed frozen on one picture for all four nights.

The hotel was clean and nicely kept, and the rooms were in very good shape. We also liked the indoor pool. There’s no breakfast, though Denny’s is right outside. It’s a bit of a distance from the boardwalk and inlet, but the price made it worthwhile.

A good budget stay in the middle of town, handy for the beach, shops, and restaurants. The room and bathroom were spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. We had a coffee maker, a small refrigerator, a sofa, a table, and two chairs.

I was there for three nights, and all four sets of towels had problems. Every washcloth and one hand towel had stains on them. It was disgusting and left me wondering whether housekeeping even washes these things. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this filthy hotel.
