We'd definitely come back. The beach is just steps away, and the staff treated us well. Our room was comfortable and clean, and we really liked the pool area and tiki bar. Breakfast was basic and crowded, though it didn't cause any real problems.

The hotel has gone way downhill. The breakfast room was so tiny we couldn't get food, and the music drew a big crowd that made it impossible to get a drink. People were also walking in off the street to use the pool. Maybe access should require a room card. The place has been remodeled, but it was still dirty, with black marks on the ceiling. What a dump. My family stayed here this time, but none of us will be back. I'd stayed a few times before and won't return. Clean the place up.

The room had plenty of space, but the floors, walls, and couch cushions were filthy. The sheets seemed okay, while the breakfast was sad and had no protein options. For a cheap Quality Inn, I guess you get what you pay for. We couldn't manage the rest of the trip without hot water for showers, so we got a refund for those days. The hotel had flooded the day before we arrived, but didn't tell us when we checked in. The room and hallways smelled of mildew, and after seeing stains on every wall and short 'n curlies in the tub, I didn't trust anything to be clean enough.

The price was great, and we had a good stay overall. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was great, and the bar staff were super friendly. We loved Tristan. The bar is on hotel property but isn't affiliated with the hotel. Breakfast was nice and convenient, and we'd definitely stay again. The beach is close and there's lots to do nearby. Our only real issue was that two desk staff were unfriendly and wouldn't honor early check-in, even though we'd called to confirm the room would be ready. Everyone else we met was friendly.
