The building has some age to it, so it's not fancy, even though they keep it up nicely. The sheets and towels were clean and soft, and I slept well on a comfortable enough bed. Stairs could be a problem if you have trouble with them. The front desk woman was so sweet, and I'd stay here again. We had a great time during the Oceans Calling fest, and the location was hard to beat.

The room was roomy and the bed was comfortable, plus mine had a kitchenette and side balcony. It does have that 1960s stove and a low, 7-foot ceiling, but the place is affordable. The hotel is right on the beach and boardwalk, with plenty of parking and a small coffee shop in the lobby. The manager and staff were welcoming. It's got a funky 1950s feel, which is part of its charm. I'd come back.

We were a last-minute group of 11, and I hadn't expected to find a decent place on a Saturday. The old room photos hadn't set my hopes high, but we checked in early and could get out to the beach. Bryan at the desk was a huge help, arranging parking and rooms, or “apartments,” near each other on one floor. Nothing fancy, but clean, cute, and more than functional for a night, with a perfect location. We did find tiny ants in one of the bedrooms.

My room had two twin beds and a refrigerator, with a microwave available in the lobby. There aren't other amenities, and no elevator, so expect to carry your things up at least one flight. It seems only four rooms face the ocean. Alone, the room was adequate, if nothing special, but another person would make it very cramped. For just adequate, it felt a bit overpriced.
