The condo pool was filthy, and the place generally wasn't well maintained. Front desk staff and supervisors were very rude and unprofessional. Our first room was dirty: grease and dirt covered the fridge, the sink had crumbs and dirt, the stove burners were filthy, and broken blinds were lying on the ground. A noisy family above us was loud all day and night, so we asked to move. The woman at the front desk first kept telling us to hold on, then told us to pack because they'd move us. When we came back down, she denied saying that. We only got moved after speaking to someone else, and we appreciated the switch. The second room was cleaner and had more space. I've stayed at lots of Ocean City hotels over the years, and this was a letdown.

The location was great and parking was okay, but the room and building were awful. The pictures online showed something completely different. Outside, the common areas looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages: thick dust on the handrails, bird poop and mold on the walls, and sprinkler pipes that looked like they'd never been rinsed with a hose. The outside of our door had bubbling paint, and we had to shoulder it open. One bottom corner was rotted and looked chewed up. Inside, there was hair in the fridge. The TV in the one-bed room wasn't mounted in front of the bed, the patio-door blinds were broken, and that door was hard to open too. The mattress flattened completely under any weight, with hard wires poking out at the sides. The shower head would work if you're no taller than 5'3", and the drain was very slow. The balcony was useless. Bird poop was everywhere, the concrete still had mold, and the brittle, faded plastic chairs were covered in droppings too. I wouldn't trust them with more than a toddler. The wall was covered in bird poop and mold, and rust from the back of the air conditioner ran down the wall. It made me want a tetanus shot. Then there was an envelope on the counter asking for tips for the cleaning crew. That was the killer. Next time we'll stay somewhere else.

There was no housekeeping on site during our three-day stay, so we cleaned and changed the sheets ourselves. The room, stove, microwave, toaster, and bathroom were all dirty, and the sheets were dirty too. The AC only worked in one room. A rug covered a hole in the floor, the doors didn't shut properly, and the blinds were broken. I really think this place needs to close and be renovated. The photos don't show what you actually get.

We had to argue with the desk to get a refund so we could book somewhere else. The manager on duty understood, but couldn't do anything. The location is decent, that's one positive. The room looked nothing like the photos: the dishwasher was broken and full of dirty water, and there were four beds in one room, including lots of bunk beds. It smelled, and the hallway was like an ashtray. We never got information about what was or wasn't supplied in the rooms, like dishes and bedding, so we had to buy things after arriving. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The room was fairly clean and a decent size, and it was nice to have a balcony accessible from both rooms. I liked the separate bedroom, but was surprised there were no dressers in it and no hangers in the closet. My main complaint is that this dog-friendly hotel has no grass or nearby designated place for dogs to relieve themselves. Check-in is at the other Monte Carlo hotel across the street, and parking is a little tight, but I was pleased overall. It was off season, so the pool was closed and they seemed to be repairing the pool and bathroom. A couple of days before check-in, I got a reminder email to bring silverware and cookware. I planned to bring my own because of Covid anyway, but appreciated the reminder.
