Bath Avenue House

We ended up sharing breakfast with Lisa and the other guests each morning, which made the stay feel like a family vacation. The Bath Ave guest house is charming and affordable, with a really welcoming atmosphere. It’s an easy walk to the beach and to a lovely stretch of shops and restaurants. Our room and the shared bathrooms were clean and tidy, and sharing the bathrooms was no problem for us. Thanks, Lisa. We’ll be back, and I’d happily recommend it.

The beach is just down the block, and the main road nearby has plenty of places to shop and eat. We also went to some of the usual Jersey shore bars, like osprey and bar a, and had no trouble getting a cheap Uber. Back at the B&B, the rooms were a good size and had a sink, while the shared bathrooms were always clean and never busy. Breakfast in the dining room, chatting with other guests, became one of our favorite memories. We booked at the last minute without expecting much, but Lisa made us feel at home and the place was so welcoming and comfortable that we were already planning another trip before we left. Come as guests, leave as family really fits. Stay once and you’ll want to come back for life.

The owner was an absolute delight, and breakfast was excellent. Rooms are well priced, too. It’s only a two block walk to the shore, and there’s a big, spacious porch for evenings. Sharing the bathroom and showers was never an issue.

We came for my birthday weekend and found the room door decorated for the occasion, with congratulations from everyone there. Lisa is sweet, attentive, and clearly wants her guests to have a great time. She also makes a great breakfast. We had an amazing stay and would absolutely return.
