Hilton Cabana Miami Beach Resort

The rooms are amazing, and though the pool is small, it’s great. The bar team were attentive and brought food and drinks to the beach. But we had constant jackhammer noise from the construction next door, running from 9am until 3-4 pm. We stayed Monday and Tuesday, and even moving from the pool to a beachside cabana didn’t get us away from it. Once the work is finished, I’d give the place a solid five stars. Be prepared for the noise for now. I’m sure weekends are much better.

We spent five nights here and came away with a positive impression. There are two pools, one by the beach entrance and another on the third floor, which helped keep things from feeling crowded. The beachfront hotel is showing its age, though parts have clearly been renovated, especially the lobby and conference area. The rooms felt small compared with other Hilton hotels I’ve stayed in. Sergaud Breakfast gets a strong recommendation from me, both the sweet and classic options. The service was excellent and the food delicious.

We had lunch at Allison’s and ate the best tacos we’ve ever had. Sergaud took great care of us as our waiter. Earlier, because the day was cooler than usual, we spent some of our time waiting for a late departure in the coffee shop. The coffee was fantastic, and Arturo was a wonderful barista, very polite and easy to talk with. I’d recommend the hotel and all its amenities.

The location close to the beach was excellent, breakfast was very good, and I enjoyed the view from the room. The temperature-controlled pool was a welcome extra, especially at night. We stayed three nights over Christmas, and the resort fee seemed worthwhile for the beach chairs, towels, bicycles, and other amenities. As a Diamond member, I found the benefits a bit mediocre, perhaps because of the holiday and high occupancy. There was no meaningful room upgrade, and after the required service charge and tax, the dining credit covered breakfast for just one of us. That was okay, but not ideal. A couple of details could have been handled better. We couldn’t get toothbrushes for the first two nights, which was inconvenient. The towel card setup also added hassle, and they ran out of cards at one point. Using a room number and last name would be smoother. A solid stay with good amenities, though some of the operations didn’t meet what I expect from the brand.
