Comfort Inn & Suites Ocean Shores

The pool area was very nice, and breakfast was fine: not many choices, but fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffle makers. I had a partial-view king room, but the layout was odd. To see the ocean I had to stand at the slider. You couldn't see out the window from the bed or any of the chairs. The bed and TV area should be switched. A desk isn't needed, but a small table and another nightstand would help. It felt weird.

We were on the fourth floor, the highest one, in a two-story room. After changing rooms once, ours was quiet and everything was clean. The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. I think it was great value.

The breakfast was disappointing too, cold and old despite our coming down early at 8am. We woke up with bug bites all over us, especially my son. I called the office and they said they'd look into it, then asked me to email the GM. I sent a refund request with photos of the bites, but the GM hasn't replied. No response from management, no refund, and no apology. It's unfortunate because we'd enjoyed our previous stays here, but now we'll look elsewhere.

The gym smelled like rotting playdough, breakfast was bland and the same every day, and there was blood on both my bed cover and the shut-out curtains. Staff were almost nowhere to be seen. When I went to check out this morning, nobody was at the front counter. The office door behind it was shut, but I could hear someone watching videos on their phone at full volume through the door. Great customer service. I guess I won't get my room keys back to them or have a chance to explain the issues in person so they can fix them. I'll just let the Internet know.
