Sandy Toes Cottage

The cottage itself was wonderful, well equipped, and close to the beach. We chose it because the yard was fenced for our dogs, paid the non-refundable daily pet fee, and used the pet blankets they provided. But after we got home, the agency sent negative feedback about there being too much pet hair, even though it says it welcomes pets. That was a disappointing end to an otherwise great vacation. Five stars for the location and cottage quality, but one for pet-friendliness and management. If you have pets, we strongly recommend avoiding this agency.

Ocean Shores had me a little hesitant, so finding this clean, new cabin near the beaches was a pleasant surprise. Everything you need is there except your food. The beds were good, and the tasteful furniture and decorations were from pottery barn. The jetty, the only beach I’d recommend, is a ten-minute drive away. It costs three times as much, but the accommodation is ten times better than comparable places in the area. Five stars for the style and easy check-in.

A cozy cottage getaway with a great beach-town feel. The open windows bring in lovely views of the neighborhood, and the whole place is relaxing and worth the price. Damon Point beach is about a 15-minute walk away. I’d recommend this cottage to anyone coming to Ocean Shores to recharge or spend time with family. Enjoy your stay!

We knew the agency about our dogs, and they charged a $40 daily pet fee, but still complained about pet hair. Dogs shed. There wasn’t a vacuum, and we swept anyway even though we didn’t need to. That felt very unprofessional. The house itself was fine.
