Ocean Surf Condos

Dances With Waves condo was a letdown. The towels were crusty, apparently left in the dryer for who knows how long, and the place hadn’t been cleaned. There was no cable or WiFi either. We paid for two nights but only made it through one. Welcome back to the 1800s.

The patio had just one chair and it was very moldy. Inside, the mattress and futon were nasty, and there wasn’t enough soap for dishes or enough towels for our four-night stay, just one. The TV and WiFi didn’t work, and the advertised beach view wasn’t there. It was a huge disappointment, especially since this was our first trip out of town together in two years. Not worth what we paid.

The room stayed unbearably hot through all three nights. The sliding glass door lock was broken and someone was keeping the door shut with a plastic broom handle. There was mold in the doorjamb and washer, holes and stains on the walls, a completely broken dryer, a leaking dishwasher, and ripped curtains. We also found a huge list of rules that hadn’t been disclosed before arrival, with some contradicting what we’d already been told. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, and even the worst Airbnb. I’d give it zero if I could.

Condo 207 at Ocean Surf Condos was full of cockroaches. I was already wary because of the previous review, but my friend booked here after her husband made a last-minute reservation. I’d wanted a new cabin by damion point, but there was nothing else available. We couldn’t reach anyone, so I called the non-emergency number. If you’ve stayed in this condo, you may have cockroaches at home now. I’ll never stay here, and I’d warn anyone about any of this property’s units. I’m pretty sure the health department would shut it down. Completely gross.
