Tranquility Base - Oyhut Bay Seaside Village

We’ll definitely come back. We stayed in a cute three-bedroom, three-bath house, and the onsite restaurant had terrific food and a great bar. There’s also a store, coffee shop, and wine and beer bar, so you can get what you need onsite. The horseshoe pit, sand volleyball court, and kids’ play area were nice too. Oyhut feels a lot like Seabrook, with newer individual-owner homes managed by Oyhut and kept clean and well appointed. We’d been going to Seabrook for 20 years after disappointing stays at old, unkempt properties along the coast, but it’s become too expensive. This is at the south end of Ocean Shores, with a short walk to the beautiful Bay. The walk to the ocean is long, though it’s a short drive.

Gina Cooper and her team did a great job, thank you. The resort was well run and fantastic, with everything our family needed. We had a relaxing, fun stay for the kids and couldn’t have asked for better. Looking forward to coming back.

The whole setting feels warm and inviting, and many of the homes have gas fireplaces, hot tubs, and outdoor fire pits. We even rented electric bikes from the Oyhut rental office. Everything is right there: Oyhut Grill and Restaurant next to the home serves great food, and the bakery and espresso bar open early. Just lovely!

Our grandkids were never bored, and we especially loved the trail down to the bay. This was our second visit to Oyhut Bay Village, and we were lucky to get the best weather we could have hoped for. We stayed in #72, the Blue Ocean Bungalow, which suited our family perfectly and had a lovely private hot tub. The resort is a gem, and the developers are doing things right. The building quality, trails, landscaping, adorable cottages, and village square could serve as a model for any seaside community. I give Oyhut Bay Village my highest recommendation, and we’ll be back.
