Pacific Inn

Avoid this hotel. I checked into Pacific Inn around 10:30 pm, went to sleep, and woke a couple of hours later to turn on the AC. I nearly stepped on a rusty nail sticking out where the fake baseboard had peeled away from the wall. I could have seriously hurt myself, and it would've been even worse if my kids had been with me. At the front desk, staff wouldn't take responsibility or move me to a safe room. One man even said I was forging my check-in time, although I had proof. They brushed me off instead of addressing the hazard. The poor maintenance and dismissive response make this place feel unsafe and badly managed. I'm reporting it to the health department and the Better Business Bureau.

We found a used meth pipe in the microwave and a dirty used needle hidden in the towel rack within ten minutes of arriving. I went downstairs to tell the front desk guy, but he acted like it was no big deal and refused a refund. When I asked for the manager, I was told they were supposedly on vacation for 7-10 days. I asked for the manager's number and was given the motel's number instead. I also told him a child was staying in the room, and he just shrugged. I only gave this place one star because I had to give it something. Do not waste your money here.

I live right next door and walk past this place often. It's a terrible hotel, and I'm glad it shut down. Drug users and homeless people wander around the property, using drugs and smoking cigarettes. To me, it was the shadiest, scariest hotel in Oceanside. Don't stay here!

The rooms were clean and had a fridge and microwave. It was pretty quiet, with plenty of stores nearby. Prices are better when you book through the hotel apps.
