The Seabird Ocean Resort & Spa, Part of Destination Hotel by Hyatt

I stayed at The Seabird for a conference, and the event space was impressive. Our group of 80 fit comfortably, and the stage setup was great. I can imagine it being a spectacular place for a wedding, too. The food on the property was fantastic. It's in a charming little town, with the beach right across the street. Sitting there in the morning watching surfers was one of my favorite parts and made for a relaxing getaway. I'd highly recommend The Seabird for business or leisure.

Etiola at the front desk made a big difference to our stay at The Seabird Ocean Resort & Spa. She got us into our room earlier than expected, which helped a lot after traveling, and handled everything smoothly and professionally with a warm attitude. She set a welcoming tone from the start and was one of the best front desk agents we've had. We had a few minor room issues, but Etiola responded quickly and sorted them out without hassle. She was attentive and made sure everything was resolved. That kind of service is hard to find, and she made our visit especially memorable. We'd absolutely return and recommend the resort to anyone visiting Oceanside.

The staff worked hard to correct some mistakes in our bill, and we appreciated that. The front desk and restaurant teams were kind and courteous throughout our very good stay. Our family of three loved the thoughtful room design and the beautiful upscale property. Ocean-front rooms are incredible. We had breakfast every day at Piper and small bites at The Shoreroom, which has the best view. There were lots of distinctive places to gather and spend time together outside the rooms. We'll definitely book again when we're back in the Oceanside/Carlsbad area. A quick tip: booking with a preferred partner travel agent can bring some very good complimentary benefits through Hyatt Prive.

My husband and I came for a local getaway while we were deep in grief after saying goodbye to our precious dog. The team welcomed us with so much kindness and support from the moment we reached the front desk. Our room was ready four hours early, which we really appreciated. Walking through the gorgeous hotel corridors to our beautiful, impeccable room, we found a kind, supportive note and chocolate. We were so touched. The bedroom, private balcony, bed, bathroom, library, lobby lounge, room service, and location all exceeded what we expected. I can't praise this property and its staff enough. We'll return soon.
