Bourne's Ocean Acres Ogunquit

The location worked well for us. It’s outside the busiest tourist stretch, where downtown and Perkins Cove can have bumper-to-bumper traffic and hard-to-find parking. From Ocean Acres, Route 1 north toward Wells has plenty of places to shop, eat, or get a drink. The beach is less than a five-minute drive away, or about a 15-minute walk, with two access points. For the price, that’s hard to beat. This is an older motel and nothing fancy, but our room and the other facilities were very clean and in good shape. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rates are reasonable. We also slept well on the comfortable king mattress with memory foam. The indoor pool was spotless, including the pool room, and refreshing for a quick dip even in cooler weather.

We stopped for just one night on the way back from Bar Harbor. It was a great fit for what we needed, and the price was good. The room was spotless, with a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, and really comfortable beds. There are indoor and outdoor pools, though we didn’t have time to use them. It’s less than a mile from the little downtown area, with good restaurants along the way. The place isn’t fancy, but it suited us perfectly.

We brought a group of young adults for a little getaway before they head off in different directions for college and other things. There were plenty of other guests, but we never felt crowded. We had a good time at both pools, with the pool activities and floats, and enjoyed the outdoor activities too. Having the pools open until 11:59pm was great since we wanted time to relax. Everything, inside and out, was very clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The pools were fun, and we liked relaxing in the Adirondack chairs beneath the trees. The location made it easy to get where we needed to go, and Footbridge Beach is just a short distance away. Our beds were very comfortable, and the shower had great pressure. The staff were polite and quick to answer our questions. We visit Maine several times a year and hope to stay here again.
