The air conditioning was great, and we checked for bedbugs and didn’t find any. For what we paid, the room was decent and mostly clean, and the customer service was really good. The microwave area was very dusty, though, and we had to move it to plug it in. The coffee pot was dirty, and the blankets had burn holes. Breakfast was just cereal, bread, and little packaged cinnamon rolls, which wasn’t enough for my two teenage boys and younger son. We weren’t expecting a Hilton at that price.

The location was good, but the room was awful and had roaches. There were dead ones in the fridge and bathroom, and live ones by the microwave and fridge. I kept all the lights on through the night. The room phone still had the America's Best Value Inn name on it, and there was already tissue in the peephole. Around midnight I heard someone outside pushing what sounded like a laundry cart. We were upstairs, and there were only seven cars in the lot at 11 pm. In the morning, the downstairs room I’d parked in front of was wide open with someone asleep inside. Other reviews mentioned management entering rooms, so I wondered if that was why it was left open. They asked for a $50 cash deposit, but I only use cards, and given the state of the place, I wondered what it was for. I wouldn’t give the hotel five stars just for the location when the room wasn’t clean or roach-free. They used to be America's Best Value Inn, own the Super 8 across the way, and probably own the Economy Inn too.
We got a great deal, and the staff were friendly. The room had comfortable beds and clean linens, plus Cox Cable, a mini-fridge, microwave, hair dryer, alarm clock, desk, and extra chairs. The air conditioner was fantastic. Breakfast was basic but fresh, and the serving area stayed clean. There’s also a guest laundry room and swimming pool, though we didn’t use either. The facilities were clean and the rooms were nice. Definitely good value.
Jessica was so kind at reception and helped me change rooms when a small issue came up. The only real problem was the WiFi: even just two doors from the office, a good connection was only available outside or inside the office. For the price, the rooms were clean, the showers were nice, and the air conditioning units were new.
The prices and staff were great, but the room was pretty gross. We killed six flies within ten minutes of getting in. We always check for bedbugs first at hotels and didn’t find any, but there were blood stains on the sheets, dead bugs, and live spiders. The pool stayed closed the whole time we were there. I didn’t expect a lot for the price.
