Comfort Inn & Suites Oklahoma City West - I-40

The breakfast attendant was the highlight. She made waffles for us and went around clearing plates and cups for everyone. The hotel looked well kept, but the air conditioning was a problem throughout. The common areas felt warm and musty even though it was still 85 degrees outside in October. The room unit blew cold air but didn’t remove the humidity, so my kids and I slept sweaty. After one shower, condensation made the bathroom door drip. The hair dryer also didn’t work.

I tried to extend my stay and pay, but couldn’t leave work to come in person. The hotel would not take payment by phone or suggest another reasonable option. Instead, they said they’d pack up my belongings and leave them for me at the front desk. That felt completely unprofessional and lacking in basic hospitality. It was a very disappointing way to treat a paying guest.

The desk staff were friendly, but the desk chair in my room was badly worn and disgusting. At 5:30 in the morning there was no coffee, even though it was supposed to start at 4. Worse, none of my three key cards worked, and I got locked out. The manager finally lent me his keys so I could get in and prop the door open while I returned them.

The price was pretty reasonable, and this was one of the better Comfort Inns I’ve stayed at in a long time. It was a decent place to sleep, especially compared with others. The beds weren’t the most comfortable, but the room and bed were cleaned really well. Breakfast wasn’t always hot, and a few TV channels didn’t come in.
