Bradford House, Oklahoma City North, a Member of Design Hotels

My husband and I ordered the Bradford House Burger and Airline Chicken W/Jus, and both were so good. The beer and Lavender Lemonade were great too. The servers were pleasant, and the atmosphere is adorable. We hadn’t even realized it was a little hotel when we reserved a table. It’s cute out the wazoo!

The rooms and hotel have a quirky, classy, unexpected feel, and we loved the place. For our girls’ weekend, we had one room in the main house and two more in the newer addition, one family room with a king bed and bunks. We also had brunch at the restaurant, which was probably the only letdown during our two-day stay. Service took over 45 minutes for pretty basic breakfast plates, though the coffee was great. Such a sweet find!

I used to come here all the time for meetings, and last week felt like they wanted the local cafe crowd back. Quincy is making more of the pastries again, and the staff were smiling and nice. I’m glad to see the improvement, and it was a great experience. Things had seemed different in spring and summer, so I stopped going. The pastries weren’t as good then, and the people behind the counter seemed checked out. I’ve loved the pastry shop for years, though I haven’t stayed at the hotel. I had a very good sausage roll last week. I’d still love a few more savory breakfast choices during the week, especially the artichoke spinach danish. Keep it up.

The coffee and espresso bar is top-notch, and the pastries looked tempting enough to take some home. We went for brunch with our son, and the food was excellent. The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming. They have table service, for which reservations are recommended, and counter service with the same menu. We’d known about Bradford House for a while but kept putting it off. We should’ve gone sooner. We only had brunch and coffee this time, but I’ve heard the lodging is just as impressive. We’ll be back!
