Clarion Inn & Suites Convention Center Near Bricktown

The room smelled of smoke, and the supposedly white curtains were filthy. I’m not a smoker. There was no water in the room or nearby, so for water or snacks you had to walk all the way back to the front desk. There were also very few TV channels. I never felt safe, and barely left the room until checkout. Even during the day, the halls were dark, and an alarm went off at the back of the hotel. One rear door banged through the night, like people were coming and going. Doors along the back and sides looked easy for anyone to pull up to and enter, which made me worry about being robbed. As an older guest with lower back and knee disabilities, I was upset to find nowhere to sit in the front desk area. There’s no elevator despite rooms supposedly being upstairs, and no luggage dolly or anyone to help with bags. Check-in took at least ten to fifteen minutes because the older male clerk didn’t seem to know the process and had to call someone for instructions. He didn’t tell me where my room was, then acted irritated when I didn’t know where to go in the dark building. To reach the room, I had to walk down a long, dark hallway, turn right into another dark hall, then left. The desk clerk seems to disappear after guests check in, and only appears if you go up front and call out. The owners didn’t seem to care. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I’d never stay again or advise anyone who cares about cleanliness, safety, or service to stay here. It didn’t feel decent or safe for older people, kids, or women.

A quiet, safe place to stop while traveling. The room was clean, and the service was friendly. I’d recommend it to friends and family.

Bricktown Hotel & Convention Center - CLOSED When we visited in 2015, the ground floor was waterlogged and the place was falling apart. It seemed closed apart from a receptionist, who thankfully didn’t persuade us to stay. Looking back, I’m not even sure she worked there. What an absolute dump.
